Oyinlola Oluka ’25, political science and philosophy, sees no limits for herself

Oyinlola Oluka, a UMBC political science and philosophy senior, doing the right thing is not just a mantra but a career path. A law school hopeful since middle school, Oluka, a first-generation Nigerian American, has a keen interest in the efforts of African countries to move from political instability toward accountability for human rights violations. She knows that holding governments accountable is a lofty task, but fear is not in her vocabulary—justice is.
