Undergraduate Programs
Why Minor in Applied Linguistics?
Understand how language works and use your new knowledge in many different fields.
If you are interested in how language works, how language is used, or how an individual language is structured, a minor in Applied Linguistics could be a good choice. You will first get a foundation in linguistics before studying the four structural areas of language and how linguistics relates to other disciplines. A minor in Applied Linguistics pairs well with many majors, especially Anthropology, Sociology, English, Philosophy, Education, Psychology, Computer Science, and Political Science.
