For the third consecutive year, the Baltimore Sun has named UMBC as one of the region’s top places to work. UMBC was the only government agency and the only university to rank among the top 100 workplaces in three size bands. With about 1900 employees, UMBC is considered a large employer.

In all, 172 companies participated, and approximately 22,500 employees out of about 37,300 employees in those organizations responded.
