UMBC’s B.A. in Economics prepares you for the demands of the business world. Through an introduction to micro and macroeconomics, you will gain the skills and confidence to think creatively and problem solve. The B.A. program requires a set of core courses in principles of economics, intermediate economics, calculus, and statistics. If you’re anticipating a career in law, this is the program for you.
You’ll graduate with a strong set of liberal arts skills that will prepare you for a rewarding career in business or government, business management, urban planning or public administration, or for professional study in law or graduate study in economics.
