Visitor Parking
Visitors park in pay-to-park spaces in three campus garages and pay with the ParkMobile app. All other campus lots and roadways require a UMBC parking permit.

How and When to Pay
Pay With ParkMobile
Pay with the ParkMobile app, and enter your license plate information correctly. Visitor parking is $2.00 an hour. Refunds are not available.
Enforcement Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., whenever university offices are open. Visitor parking is not enforced on these university holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after
- Christmas Day through the end of the calendar year
Tours, Events, and Groups
Campus Tours and Admissions Events
Follow the parking instructions in your visit confirmation, or call the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 410-455-2291.
Athletics and Arena Events
NCAA athletics events and Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena events are not covered by special event parking requests. For parking at those events, contact Parking Services.
Groups of 10 or More
For a planned event, a UMBC department can reserve 10 or more parking spaces by submitting a Special Event Request Form to Parking Services at least 15 days ahead.
Drop-off and Pick-up Points
Families, taxis, and app rides can use one of five drop-off and pick-up points across campus.
