Why Minor in Theatre Design and Production?

The Theatre Design and Production Minor encourages students whose interests include fine arts and technical production to apply their skills to the creation of live performance.

UMBC’s Theatre Design and Production Minor equips students with the technical and creative expertise to excel in the world of stagecraft and production.

Areas of study include scenic, costume, lighting and/or sound design, and production skills in woodworking, sewing, and/or welding.skills needed to excel in the dynamic field of theatre production.
