Physics students at UMBC get a strong foundation not only in physics but also in the supporting subjects of calculus, chemistry, and computer science. Undergraduates are encouraged to work on their own research projects in collaboration with faculty and have the opportunity to pursue summer internships in the Baltimore-DC area.
