Why Major in Mechanical Engineering?

Mechanical engineers use knowledge of forces, energy and materials to design new technology.

Mechanical engineers might build spacecraft to take you to the moon, or elevators to take you to the eleventh floor. They may design systems to heat a building or cool a power station. Above all, they are problem solvers. A mechanical engineering degree will prepare you for an interdisciplinary career in a wide array of industries.
