UMBC’s Statistics B.S. program provides a comprehensive education in data analytics, probability, and mathematical principles, with opportunities to collaborate on research projects alongside faculty. Students can choose between two academic tracks:
- Mathematical Statistics Track – emphasizing a strong theoretical foundation in probability, inference, and statistical modeling.
- Applied Statistics Track – providing flexibility to explore elective applications in fields such as computer science, biology, public health, and economics.
By mastering how to analyze and apply statistical data, you will develop the ability to evaluate outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform evidence-based decisions—skills that make you a valuable contributor across diverse industries.
