Why Minor in Religious Studies?

Understand the impact of religious traditions on the past, present, and future

A Religious Studies minor will give you a broad knowledge of humanity’s rich religious heritage and the way that religion has affected history, politics, culture, and identity across time and space. This interdisciplinary minor allows you to take courses from a variety of departments at UMBC and focus on different times and places. Through this minor, you will gain skills that will help you in careers in fields such as law, politics, diplomacy, medicine, and business.
