Why Minor in History?
Study the past to better understand the present.
A history minor is an excellent complement to any major. It provides knowledge about the past as context for the present and helps you develop your critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills. The minor is especially useful for STEM majors to consider the human impacts of science and technology. The minor can also help move you toward a career in journalism, business, law, or public policy. The history minor is very flexible, allowing you to concentrate on particular historical eras, interests, or areas. History minors who earned a score of three or above on the U.S. or World History AP exams may use up to three credits toward the minor.
