Explore and Challenge Social Norms with UMBC’s Certificate in Gender and Women’s Studies, where you’ll engage in critical examination of gender and sexuality in various contexts.
A Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Gender, Women’s, + Sexuality Studies provides students with a coherent and interdisciplinary grounding in current Gender, Women’s, + Sexuality Studies scholarship at the graduate level. Students will be equipped with the theoretical, methodological, and data tools to analyze, understand, and develop solutions to meet the needs of a diverse workforce and world. Students will be introduced to a community of scholars dedicated to the study of gender and its intersection with such issues as race, ethnicity, class, and sexuality, and expand student’s intellectual horizons about women’s issues and gender equity.
