Why Minor in Critical Sexuality Studies?

Learn about how individuals’ sexual practices and identities affect their lives, systems of sexuality and sexual identity, and how to challenge power discrepancies in sexuality.

Through this interdisciplinary minor, you will investigate the historical, political, and social life of sexuality across history and around the world. The minor is intersectional, looking at how sexuality interacts with gender, race, class, religion, nationality, disability, and age. A Critical Sexuality Studies minor will empower you to imagine a more just future and equip you with the tools to enact it collectively, as well as critical reading, writing, and thinking skills. This minor can be combined with, among other things, the Gender and Women’s Studies Minor.
