Master of Arts in Human Services Psychology (Applied Behavior Analysis Track)
UMBC’s M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis provides in-depth training in the science of behavior and prepares students to address significant human behavior challenges through evidence-based methods.

The industrial/organizational psychology program at UMBC-Shady Grove offers an innovative and engaging curriculum led by industry experts. Hosted within the Department of Psychology, the master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology is a highly applied program which provides graduate training focused on developing skills that are relevant in today’s job market.

Graduates of the program will have the knowledge and skill to conduct research and work in settings focused on child, family, and school well-being, particularly in inner-city, lower-income, and cultural minority and cross-cultural contexts.

The Human Services Psychology Program represents a reconceptualization of clinical psychology and several related specialties. The program’s rationale derives from a general systems theory perspective which focuses on the generic nature of the knowledge and skills upon which these specialties draw and the multidimensional nature of the problems with which they are concerned.
