Why Study Chemistry?
The Master's in Chemistry program offers students the opportunity to build expertise in high-demand fields like drug design, forensics, and nanotechnology and contribute at a high level upon graduation.
Students with interests in a wide range of chemistry disciplines, such as medicinal chemistry, toxicology, imaging and sensors, computational chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, and more can tailor a thesis-based or non-thesis master’s degree in chemistry at UMBC to address their interests and goals. Close collaborations with academic and government institutions in the region brighten students’ prospects for meaningful experiential learning options and career opportunities.
