Hilltop Society

In recognition of UMBC’s proud heritage and traditions, and the outstanding generosity of our alumni and friends, donors are recognized annually for their leadership giving.

Combined gifts of $1,000 or more over one fiscal year to any UMBC account qualifies a donor for Hilltop Society membership. For all levels of recognition, matching corporate gifts are combined with individuals/households when determining eligibility.

The greatest benefit of being a member of The Hilltop Society is the pride you experience knowing that your dedication to UMBC will make a difference in the lives of our students. As a Hilltop Society donor, you will receive exclusive courtesies and benefits that reflect the leadership status of your giving including:

  • Subscription to select UMBC publications and communications
  • Recognition at Hilltop Society donor events
  • VIP invitations to lectures, exhibits, receptions, performances, and other events hosted by UMBC

These benefits are received in the fiscal year following your eligible donations.

The Hilltop Society honors the tremendous loyalty and generosity that our supporters have expressed through annual leadership gifts to the University. UMBC is proud to acknowledge these members whose gifts demonstrate their ongoing commitment to our UMBC community.

Members of The Hilltop Society have a significant impact on our University and its students. By investing in scholarships, equipment acquisition, cross-disciplinary instructional opportunities, and research support, Hilltop Society donors are helping us advance discovery and achieve academic excellence.

Hilltop Society donors are committed to improving the future for our students, our University, our region, and our society.

When you give, your annual leadership support has an immediate resounding impact. You make it possible for UMBC students to achieve their potential, you enable groundbreaking research, and Hilltop Society members continually fund other needs across the University which ultimately prepare the leaders of tomorrow.
