Why Minor in Philosophy?

Learn how to think logically and critically about your most fundamental beliefs, attitudes, and values.

Earning a minor in Philosophy will develop your skills in critical analysis, problem-solving, and forming and evaluating oral and written arguments. You will get a foundation in ancient and modern history of philosophy as well as in logic and ethics. A minor in philosophy pairs well with any field that requires being able to think logically, systematically, and critically, such as business, law, medicine, and science.

What Are My Career Options Studying Philosophy?

A philosophy degree will give you a great foundation for a wide variety of fields, including business, education, medicine, policy, science, engineering, computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, and law. Many majors also go on to graduate or professional school in one of these fields.
