Whistling Hens Premiere: Chutes and Ladders
The Music BoxWhistling Hens, a duo featuring the unusual combination of clarinet and soprano, premieres a new work by composer Kate Soper entitled Chutes and Ladders. A commission made possible by the Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Program, with generous funding provided by the Mellon Foundation, the work invites us to step into a unique soundscape of vocalizations, quarter tones, multiphones, and speak-singing.

His most recent win at the 2008 Guitar Foundation of America Competition has earned him the coveted 50-concert tour in the United States, Mexico, and Canada with additional concerts in China, Colombia, and Brazil. Bianco has already performed in over 30 music festivals across the world, in France, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Portugal, Slovakia, and Thaïland.
