UMBC Symphony Orchestra and UMBC String Chamber Orchestra

A symphony orchestra performs on stage in a concert hall

The Department of Music presents the UMBC Symphony Orchestra and the UMBC String Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Philip Mann, in a program of music by William Grant Still, Carl Nielsen, Johannes Brahms, Edvard Grieg, Max Bruch, and Arturo Márquez.

The String Chamber Orchestra will perform two works:

Danzas de Panama — William Grant Still
Little Suite — Carl Nielsen

And the UMBC Symphony Orchestra will perform:

Hungarian Dances Nos. 5 and 6 — Johannes Brahms
Peer Gynt: Suite No.1 — Edvard Grieg
Kol Nidrei, adagio for cello and orchestra — Max Bruch
Danzón No. 2 — Arturo Márquez


Tickets are free, but reservations are required. Please visit here to reserve seats.
