About

Seung-Jun Kim received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1996 and 1998, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, in 2005, all in electrical engineering. From 2005 to 2008, he was with NEC Laboratories America, Princeton, NJ, USA, as a Research Staff Member. From 2008 to 2014, he was with the Digital Technology Center, and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA, where his final title was Research Associate Professor. Since 2014, he has been with the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, University of Maryland,Baltimore, MD, USA. His current research interests include statistical signal processing, optimization, and machine learning, with applications to wireless communication and networking, power/energy systems, and neural/medical data analytics.
