About

I was born in Wichita, KS and attended Rice University for B.S. in Astrophysics and PhD in Physics. I was a postdoc at STScI before joining the faculty at UMBC. I was awarded tenure in 2021 and am now an associate professor in physics.

Research interests

Super-Massive Black Holes, Active Galaxies, Relativistic Jets, Polarimetry, Spectroscopy, Tidal Disruption Events, Galaxy Evolution, Solar System and Planetary Science, Instrumentation, X-ray Observatories
