UMBC Jobs

Career Coaching & Resume Assistance
Our Career Center offers personalized appointments with dedicated career specialists- available either in person or virtually. Whether you need guidance on career coaching, resume reviews, or interview preparation, we’re here to help. While recent graduates (within six months) enjoy unlimited free sessions, all other alumni can take advantage of a complimentary 60-minute session designed to address your unique career needs. 

Hiring Resources
Explore a wide array of job listings and career opportunities through Handshake, our dedicated online job search system for UMBC students and alumni. Browse roles at every level- from entry-level positions to opportunities for seasoned professionals. 

Workshops, Networking Events & Job Fairs
Participate in virtual and in-person professional development workshops, networking events, and job fairs to connect directly with potential employers. Check our upcoming events page for the latest schedules and opportunities.

Professional & Industry Networking
Through Retrievers Connect, alumni can connect virtually with other alumni for career discussions, advice, and sharing resources. There are filters to search the database on industry, major, location, topic of interest, student organization, sport, and identity information. The platform also provides alumni an opportunity to share their expertise with other graduates.

Google Career Certificates
UMBC, in partnership with Google, The University System of Maryland, The National Association of Higher Education Systems, and the University of Texas System, is offering career-focused Google Career Certificates to help learners build in-demand skills in AI, cybersecurity, data analytics, and more.
