About
Susanne Sutton received her 1. and 2. Staatsexamen in English, German and Pedagogy from Leibniz University in Hannover (1992 and 1996), Germany. She received her M.A. in English Literature from Texas State University (1994). Susanne has been teaching at UMBC since 2002 and serves as Coordinator for the German program within the department and since fall 2023 as MLLI's Undergraduate Program Director. She has presented at local, regional and national language educator conferences.She was the principal investigator and received one of the initial Hrabowski grants for her work of connecting students with the local community through experiential learning opportunities.
