I am a theoretical astrophysicist working on numerical simulations of relativistic astrophysical plasma jets.
Research interests
My work is focused on the radiation and polarization signatures of blazars, which are a kind of relativistic astrophysical plasma jets that point very close to our line of sight. These astrophysical objects have long been considered as the extragalactic sources of cosmic rays and neutrinos. I use both semi-analytical and numerical simulations to model the radiation and polarization signatures from these objects, and compare theoretical predictions with observations to understand the physical conditions, particle acceleration mechanisms, radiation mechanisms, and potential cosmic ray and neutrino signatures from these astrophysical systems.
