About

Motivated public health researcher and professional with domestic and international fieldwork experience focused on global health, social epidemiology, mental health, infectious disease, health equity and diversity, minority and immigrant health, maternal and child health, health promotion and education, and implementation science mainly in the United States, sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia. Strong background of both quantitative and qualitative method skills. Exemplary airman and reserve force at the Republic of Korea Air Force. Fluent in English and Korean, and basic in Spanish and French.

Research interests

Main interests: focusing on public health in the United States and global health primarily in sub-Saharan African countries, with emphasis on Immigrant and minority health; Racial and ethnic disparities; Health equity and diversity; Social and behavioral health; Mental health; Psychosocial epidemiology; Infectious disease epidemiology; Big data health science; Mixed-methods analysis

Additional interests: Maternal and child Health; Environmental health (water, sanitation, and hygiene); Implementation science; Mathematical modeling assessment of health interventions; Public health education and promotion (DrPH education); Gender and sexuality in health; Health program assessment and evaluation
