Academic Common Market
Looking for a college degree not offered by a public institution in your home state? ACM offers students the ability to study a specialized field at UMBC without paying out of state rates.
As a member of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB), UMBC participates in the Academic Common Market (ACM).
What is ACM?
The Academic Common Market (ACM) is a tuition-savings program that operates on the premise that if public institutions (excluding private institutions) in a student’s home state do not offer an undergraduate or graduate degree program major that a student intends on pursuing, then the student may attend a participating ACM out-of-state institution offering the degree of interest, and be granted a waiver of out-of-state tuition charges.
Participation in the Academic Common Market requires admission to UMBC and approval from your home state of residence.
