Required Documents for Application
Official Transcripts
First-Year Students should request an official transcript from your high school. Counselors may send us your transcripts electronically through the Common App School Report, or they may mail a transcript to our office. Include any college credits that you are interested in transferring to UMBC.
International Students can find more information about the application process for first-year and transfer on our international admissions page.
Transfer Students should request official transcripts from each college or university you have attended. Transcripts should be sent directly from the institution to UMBC after your application is submitted.
If you are transferring and have less than 30 college credits, you are required to submit your high school transcripts to demonstrate that you meet our required minimum course of study.
Optional Documents for Application

UMBC’s 25th – 75th percentile test score range is 1190 – 1360. Given this information, you can decide whether or not your test scores would benefit your application.
