Position:    Junior Exhibition Designer
Positions Available:    1 - 2
Duties:    The Junior Exhibition Designer will work with the Lead Exhibition Designer (LED) as well as hired contractors and interact w/ graduate students; faculty and staff. Will assist the LED in installation, de- installation of exhibitions as well as, maintain order in the gallery space. In addition, this person will be responsible for learning and understanding ADA Regulations and working with LED to plan future exhibitions held in the CADVC Gallery Space.
     
Required skills:    Upbeat personality, hard worker, ability to work well with others, must be dependable and responsible for working your shift, showing up on time. Must be able to follow close directions when they are given and ask questions if they are unclear; ability to complete a task(s) in a timely manner. Must display a willingness to work in a gallery environment and an interest in learning about the best practices related to installing exhibitions. Ideal opportunity for a Visual Arts Designer major but not required. Physical skills that are helpful for this job: Ability to lift upwards of 20+ lbs. Technical skills that are required are: Efficiency w/ Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Knowledge of SketchUp or AutoCAD is a plus.

Position:    Gallery Attendant
Positions Available:    4 - 5 (Max)
Duties:    The Gallery Attendant will greet visitors and guest who enter the gallery space with a pleasant personality, supply them with information on the current exhibition, serve as guard for all art work to ensure no thefts or damages to the artwork occurs. Open and close exhibition; check all equipment to ensure it works properly and shutting equipment off as instructed by the artist. Inform staff of any problems that may arise. Run errands on campus and other duties as assigned. Depending on availability; may be asked to work occasional Saturdays 10am – 5pm. Gallery Attendants must maintain a professional demeanor at all times while working.
     
Required skills:    Pleasant personality; must maintain a professional demeanor at all times while working; gets along well with others and must be dependable and responsible for working your shift, showing up on time prepared to work your shift. Must be conscientious and aware of suspicious behavior to deter theft of any kind. An interest in the Visual Arts program is helpful but not required as long as, you have the willingness to learn and grow with the CADVC. Growth within the CADVC and other opportunities are available for students that demonstrate interest and maturity.

Position:    Office Assistant
Positions Available:    1
Duties:    Assist Business Manager with general Administrative support. This includes but is not limited to the following: answering the phones, making appointments, maintaining CADVC calendar, running errands, filing, word processing, assisting with mailings, assisting w/ credit card reconciliation each month, setting up files, budget binders and preparing labels as needed. Familiar with an office setting and operating a fax machine, printer, scanner etc. Basic research skills are desired but not required. At times this person will be asked to work with various staff on special project as it relates to their area.
     
Required skills:    Must be able to work independently, follow directions as instructed and perform work task with little or no supervision. Must be a self-started and motivated with the willingness learn and confidence to ask questions or make suggestions if needed. Must have computer skills and experience with Word for Windows (i.e. formatting letters, memos, data bases, charts & tables) MAC proficient, and Excel (i.e. creating tables, simple formulas, entering data etc.) or Access knowledge, Publisher (creating fliers, brochures, handouts, etc.) Basic Accounting principles are very helpful but not required
