Position:    Junior Exhibition Assistant
Positions Available:    1-2
Duties:    The Junior Exhibition Assistant will work with the Lead Exhibition Designer as well as hired contractors to assist in the installation, de-installation and maintenance of the gallery space. In addition to these duties, you will be responsible for learning and understanding ADA Regulations, and working with the Lead Exhibition Designer to plan future exhibitions held in the CADVC. Other duties as assigned.
     
Required skills:    Must have an upbeat personality, hard-worker, ability to work well with others and a team player, must be dependable and responsible for working your shift, showing up on time. Must be able to follow close directions when they are given and be able to complete tasks given in a timely manner. Must display a willingness to work in a gallery environment and an interest in learning about the best practices related to installing exhibitions. Practical for someone who is a Visual Arts, Design or Museum Studies major.

Position:    Office Assistant
Positions Available:    1
Duties:    Assist Business Manager with general Administrative support. This includes but is not limited to the following: answering phones, running errands, filing, maintaining student & CADVC calendar, word processing, assisting with mailings, assisting with credit card reconciliation each month, setting up files, budget binders and preparing labels as needed. Familiar with an office setting and operating a fax machine, printer, scanner, etc. Basic research skills are desired but not required. At times this person will be asked to work with various staff on special projects as it related to their area. Other duties as assigned
     
Required skills:    Must be able to work independently, follow directions as instructed and perform work task with little supervision. Must be a self-starter and motivated with the willingness to ask questions or make suggestions if needed. Must have computer skills and experience with word for Windows (i.e. formatting letters, memos, data bases, charts & tables), MAC proficient, and Excel (i.e. creating tables, simple formulas, entering data etc.) or Access knowledge, Publisher (creating fliers, brochures, handouts, etc.) Basic Accounting principles are strongly desired.

Positions Available:    3-4
Duties:    The Gallery Attendant will greet visitors & guests who enter the gallery space with a pleasant personality, supply them with information on the current exhibition, serve as guard for all art work to ensure no thefts or damages to the artwork occurs. Open and close the exhibition space at the beginning and end of the day, check all equipment to ensure it works properly and shutting equipment off as instructed by the artist. Inform staff of any problems that may arise. Run errands on campus and other duties as assigned. Gallery Attendants must maintain a professional demeanor at all times while working. Greet visitors & guests who enter the gallery space with a pleasant personality, supply them with information on the current exhibition, serve as guard for all art work to ensure no thefts or damages to the artwork occurs. Ope and close the exhibition space at the beginning and end of the day, check all equipment to ensure it works properly and shutting equipment off. Inform staff of any problems that may arise. Required skills:    Pleasant personality, easy going and gets along with others: must be dependable and responsible for working your shift, showing up on time. Must be conscientious of their responsibility to guard the art work and equipment to deter theft of any kind. An interest in the Visual Arts program is helpful but not required as long as, you have the willingness to learn and grow with the CADVC. Position:    Office Assistant for Ed Outreach
Positions Available:    2
Duties:    Assist in the office and with educational outreach work in the offices of the art gallery in the Fine Arts building.
     
Required skills:    Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word required. Good students with a B average or above are especially encouraged to apply. Must have a good attitude and be dependable: we need someone who can stick to a schedule. We will train the right person, if you are motivated, even if you have not worked before.
