As the Director of the Office for Academic & Pre-Professional Advising, I welcome you to our new and improved website.

Our new website is the result of a thorough and comprehensive review of all of the services and resources we provide to our many constituencies. As you tour our new website, I hope that you find a vast array of important resources to help you on your way toward achieving your academic and career goals.

While we primarily advise students who are still exploring majors or are pursuing allied health programs, we also are available to assist all members of the UMBC community with advising-related questions and challenges.

Our staff strives to offer accurate, timely and consistent academic advising - specific to each student who visits our office. Our staff passionately believes that academic advising should be student-centered, collaborative and focused on helping students make informed and strategic decisions with respect to majors and careers.
