UMBC’s B.A. in Cultural Anthropology invites you to examine the relationship of culture, human meaning, and the social, political, and economic forces that affect our world. Learn to gather and analyze complex materials, while also exploring critical contemporary problems and how to communicate across differences. You will complete an independent research project using various research methods.

You will graduate with a strong set of skills to work in our increasingly multicultural workforce in positions in business, health, government, law, or to pursue advanced graduate degrees.
