This exciting welcome event is your chance to meet UMBC’s new Graduate School Dean, Dr. Christa Porter, and mingle with fellow graduate students, university leaders, support staff, and campus partners who are here to cheer you on.

Bring your energy—and your appetite! We’ll have music from a live DJ, games, and delicious food. Whether you’re coming with family or flying solo, this is the perfect chance to start building your Retriever community from day one.

The event will take place at the Big Tent outside The Commons, with doors opening at 3:30 PM.
