The Candlelight Concert Society presents cellist Steven Isserlis in concert with pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen.
British cellist Steven Isserlis frequently appears with the world’s leading orchestras and conductors, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic, and the Zurich Tonhalle. He is also a children’s book author, publishing Why Beethoven Threw the Stew and Why Handel Waggled His Wig in 2006. Pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen will accompany Steven Isserlis.

Felix Mendelssohn (1809–1847) — Variations Concertantes for Cello and Piano, Op. 17
Dmitry Shostakovich (1906–1975) — Sonata for Cello and Piano in D Minor, Op. 40
Julius Isserlis (1888–1968) — Ballade in A Minor for Cello and Piano
Felix Mendelssohn (1809–1847) —Sonata No. 2 in D Major for Cello and Piano, Op. 58
