Undergraduate Academic Policy Administration

Undergraduate Academic Policies are designed and administered at UMBC with the twin goals of supporting student academic success and treating individuals equitably and fairly. Undergraduate Academic policies are approved by the Undergraduate Council and the Faculty Senate. UMBC is aware of, and is sensitive to, students' concerns regarding the H1N1 flu pandemic and its possible effect on coursework. The Office of Undergraduate Education serves to review any and all requests for exception to academic policy including those resulting from medical/health-related illnesses. In general, requests should be reasonable in nature and, where appropriate, accompanied with supporting documentation. As always, the University must and will consider all factors in making a fair and equitable decision in these matters.
