Whether your student is living on or off-campus, being connected to campus life is an important part of the college experience. Where to go for what? From residential life and dining services to health services and campus police, this session is your one-stop shop as the Vice President for Student Affairs facilitates this interactive panel discussion.

SPEC 299A: Financing Your Education
Student Business Services and Financial Aid staffs share helpful information about electronic billing (e-billing), payment and financing options including payment plans, online payment options, and loans.

SPEC 299B: Career Exploration and Applied Learning
UMBC abounds with practical experience opportunities for your student.  Staff from the Shriver Center share how they partner with your student to provide access to a variety of internships and other co-curricular experiences.

SPEC 399A: Understanding a Liberal Arts Education
UMBC takes pride in its strong liberal arts tradition.  Join the Office of Academic and Pre-Professional Advising staff to discuss the value of a liberal arts education and the significance of the general education requirements.  Learn more about important advising tools within myUMBC and how advisors assist students in achieving their academic goals.

SPEC 399B: Healthy Living and Wellness
Health Educators and Counseling Center staff discuss with parents how the campus promotes healthy lifestyle choices.  Find out which health issues are most prevalent among students, tips on how you can help your student deal with stress and other health concerns, as well as learn about the important services offered through University Counseling Services, University Health Services and the Office of Health Education.
