This step downloads the applicants data and PDF applications to a secure directory for later use and storage. You download the files through sFTP (secure File Transfer Protocol), with a program called WinSCP (Windows Secure CoPy). The program must be setup, and you must already have a login, both obtained from the IT Specialist.

• On desktop, select icon WinSCP3.
• Message Box opens
• Shows your account ( ex: HYPERLINK “mailto:greisman@sftp.applyweb.com” greisman@sftp.applyweb.com )
• Click Login
• Enter password, click ok. Be patient, process is slow
• New screen opens (split into two columns)
• Left column lists files on computer (Local Files)
• Initially set to My Documents directory
• Go to pull down menu, select I: Grads
• Select CollegeNetData directory
• Right column lists files on sftp (Remote Files)
• Select UMBCG-Data Files directory
• Find today’s date
  • Ex: UMBCG20051104002301.psv
  • Ex: SISIMPRT20060914002301.psv
• Drag to I:\CollegeNetData
• Message box opens, click copy
• Go to pull down menu, select /<root>
• Open GradPDFs folder
• Open archive folder
• Drag today’s date folder to I:\CollegeNetData
• Message box opens, click copy
• <f10> quit
