Born in Cambodia and trained as a professional musician there, Sam-Ang Sam has been a leading force for preserving Cambodian performing arts in America and in Cambodia for more than two decades.

An ethnomusicologist and a MacArthur Fellow, he works with Drs. Karl Signell and Chad McDaniel to develop these pages as prototypes for an in-depth presentation of Cambodian Performing Arts. The team intends the finished Cambodian Performing Arts CD-ROM and Web pages to serve as a model title for a projected World Anthology of Performing Arts (WAPA).
