The Maryland Psychiatric Research Center (MPRC) in Catonsville has a new opportunity available for a Research Assistant, Clinical. The Research Assistant is responsible for performing clinical research that is part of a collaboration between the Maryland Psychiatric Center and the National Institute for Drug Abuse Administration (NIDA). This research focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and neurobiological basis of patients with co-morbid substance abuse and other psychiatric conditions.
We are looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in psychology or a related field - someone between their undergraduate studies and graduate school or medical school - to serve as a research assistant for a study involving neuroimaging in schizophrenia. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the study of the biological basis of serious mental illness.
This NIH-funded study is being conducted at the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center in Catonsville, and the National Institute on Drug Abuse in eastern Baltimore.
