Delurking is Good

Poignancy - I've been reflecting on the meaning of this word quite a bit lately, recalling the class discussion; as we age, we have more poignant moments. I am understanding this more and more by my own experiences just this year. In the past year, 3 people I know died of breast cancer (all under the age of 50), another friend who just retired was diagnosed with brain cancer - friends supporting his wife learn about his gradual losses - he is now totally deaf from the radiation treatments. My son moved out a couple of months ago and now my daughter is graduating from college and moving across the country - out west to Colorado, a beautiful place, but, far away (too far for warm hugs) . It's my empty nest - happy & sad. I am certain others who read this can relate. I am finding some solace in "The Prophet" where he speaks about children. This is a comfort to me, somewhat.
