Responsibilities:
- Tutor and encourage children pre-K-10th grade as they work on our curriculum
- Support full-time Directors by providing outstanding service to current and prospective members
- Help create a positive, supportive environment
- Perform some office work, such as data entry, filing and basic cleaning
Qualifications:
- High school degree
- Previous experience working with children
- Connects easily with children to explain concepts, motivate and help them follow directions
- Comfortable communicating each day with children, parents and staff
- Outgoing, enthusiastic, well spoken and responsible
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Ability to work a minimum of 6 hours per week (10+ hours preferred)
- Weekday afternoons or evenings and/or weekend availability
- Excellent overall role model
- Score of 85% or higher on basic skills test
- Computer experience
