Graduate Student associaTion of biological sciences
Departmental graduate students have established the Graduate Student Association of Biological Sciences (GABS) to promote scientific and social interactions among students in various graduate programs.

In addition to monthly meetings to discuss graduate student issues, the organization sponsors an annual Graduate Student Symposium, as well as monthly “chalk talks” where graduate students present their research to their peers and faculty. Financial support for travel to scientific meetings is also available through GABS and the campus-wide Graduate Student Association.
