Professional Interests
My teaching responsibilities presently include Cell Biology laboratory (BIOL 303L) and Plant Biology laboratory (BIOL 304L).  As such, I am interested in training students in the basic lab skills they will need as practicing biologists.  Beyond that, however, I want student who finish these two courses with me to be competent scientists: have the ability to design and carry out experiments, portray and interpret data, and write and speak about the interpretations and conclusions of the data.
