Africana Studies Council of Majors

Description: The ASCM shall promote the study of peoples of African descent by broadening the educational and cultural experiences of students who are declared majors, double majors, or minors in Africana Studies or who have otherwise demonstrated an interest in this discipline.

Advising

Requirements for the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Africana Studies consist of 36 credits for the standard major and 30 credits for the double major. A grade of “C” or better is required for all courses in the major. Courses intended to count toward the fulfillment of the major may not be taken on the P/F option.
