EDUC 771 Research Designs in Education 3 credits
| HYBRID COURSE - This course begins in early December and concludes in late February. This course facilitates the skills needed to locate, evaluate, interpret, utilize, and conduct educational research. A wide variety of methodologies and relevant issues in educational research are addressed. The applications of research findings to diverse educational settings are explored. The course emphasizes the role of the practitioner/teacher as a valuable and active participant in the development of knowledge and promising practices in the field. This course is designed as a participatory seminar that is carried out in both classroom meetings and in an online learning community. Class meetings will be held at Severna Park High School on Wednesday, December 7; Wednesday, December 14; and the four Wednesdays in January 2006. Students will present their final projects during the week of February 27, 2006. Prerequisite: EDUC 601, EDUC 602 and/or consent of department.
